Mountain was selected to participate in the Ground Segment Business Forum, produced by the World Teleport Association (WTA), at SATELLITE 2009. Mountain will be a panelist for "How Fast is Too Fast? Betting the Ranch on Technology Adoption," an afternoon session that will debate the push-and-pull of technology adoption and provide forecasts for change.

"How Fast is Too Fast? Betting the Ranch on Technology Adoption" will address questions concerning HDTV and terrestrial Internet, IPTV distribution, digital signage, two-way broadband satellite links, and new satellite technologies. The session will be moderated by Bruce Elbert, President of Application Technology Strategy, Inc., and will also include panelists from SES Americom, Schlumberger, and ViaSat Satellite Holdings.

SATELLITE 2009 serves the enterprise, commercial, broadcast, and government and military markets by creating a forum for thousands of attendees to share information and research the newest technology. The SATELLITE 2009 Conference runs March 24-27 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The show floor will be open March 25-27. WEGENER is exhibiting at Booth #641.

Mountain has been with WEGENER for the past 25 years serving in numerous domestic and international sales, marketing, and management positions. He has been a member of the NCTA engineering committee and served as co-chair of the Quality Sound subcommittee. He has also been involved in numerous cable-related projects including the satellite digital network control system used by major programmers. Prior to joining WEGENER, Mountain was a Senior Engineer with the former UA-Columbia Cablevision and a Systems Engineering Manager for Motorola Communications.
