Critic Joe Morgenstern to Be Feted at Press Club Gala

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 18 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic Joe Morgenstern of the Wall Street Journal and public radio station KCRW will be honored Thursday, March 26, for his decades of work by the Los Angeles Press Club.

Morgenstern will be feted at a 7 p.m. reception at the Steve Allen Theater, 4773 Hollywood Blvd., two blocks west of Vermont Avenue. Actor Robert Forster ("Jackie Brown;" NBC's "Heroes") will emcee.

Morgenstern is co-founder of the National Society of Film Critics. He is only one of three film critics to have been awarded the Pulitzer Prize. He worked for years for Newsweek and was a columnist for the Los Angeles Herald-Examiner.

The event will also feature the naming of the winners of the second National Entertainment Journalism Awards, aimed at recognizing the nation's most talented entertainment writers, broadcasters and critics.
