Detroit Media Partnership's new campaign captures Detroit's vitality and emotion

DETROIT, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Brian Vander Ark, international recording artist and lead singer of the Michigan-based, multi-platinum band, The Verve Pipe is the performer for the new image advertisements featuring the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News.

These emotional spots thoughtfully reflect the times facing southeastern Michigan using video, audio and still images from the Detroit Free Press and The Detroit News archives. The music and lyrics are original compositions developed by Harvest Music + Sound Design, in Lansing. A full, radio-play song will be available exclusively for download at iTunes.com soon.

Sixty and thirty second commercials can be seen on local television and cable channels beginning Monday, March 23. A 90 second video can be seen at www.freep.com, www.detnews.com and will be shown prior to movie previews on 298 theatre screens in the metro Detroit area beginning in May.
