Changing the Futures of Adoptive and Foster Children

Blue Hue Interactive wins Telly award for Family Foundation Minnesota promotional video.

MANKATO, Minn., March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Hue Interactive, an Internet marketing and interactive media agency, has been recognized by the 30th Annual Telly Awards for its Family Foundations Minnesota video production.

The award-winning promotional and recruitment Web video and DVD was shot in two days on location at the Character Training Center Camp at Eagle Beach Resort in Park Rapids, Minnesota. The Blue Hue team then edited the video in house and optimized it for Web display and distribution.

Blue Hue Interactive Director Craig Schanbacher said, "We take a lot of pride in working with Family Foundations Minnesota. In creating this video, we were able to sit down with families and children, extract an intimate message and really show why this event made a difference in their lives."

Darin Ingalls, Senior Editor and Videographer at Blue Hue said, "It's a challenge when you're given a subject that can be sensitive, and it was important for us to edit that in a powerful yet respectful way."

The Family Foundations Minnesota Character Training Center is a camp facility for adoptive children or children in the foster care system. At these camps, children and teens are put at ease while participating in a behavior modification program with other adopted children, learning life and social skills, playing sports, swimming and more.

Family Foundations Minnesota Program Director, Travis Guida said, "Our main objective when putting on these camps is to offer a place where kids can come together and receive a sense of community and purpose while also receiving character education. Through our partnership with Blue Hue Interactive, we can now market these services with our DVD and on various Web sites." Program founder, Sarah Coumbe-Guida concluded, "I congratulate Blue Hue on their work. Each year, over 140,000 kids are up for adoption that are in the foster care system, and they have not been given a chance at life. They have been given up, rejected, abused and neglected. I thank the Blue Hue team from the bottom of my heart for helping us promote our program so we can give these kids memories of camp and confidence-building tools. It will change the future."

Selected from over 13,000 entries, the award-winning video was produced by Blue Hue Interactive team of Craig Schanbacher and Darin Ingalls in cooperation with Travis Guida and Sarah Coumbe-Guida of Family Foundations Minnesota. The Telly Awards honor the very best local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, the finest video and film productions and work created for the Web.
