Designed with the contemporary look and familiar functionality of a clock radio, and the sound quality of much more expensive audio systems, the SANYO Internet Radio R227 can play thousands of crystal-clear internet radio stations and podcasts, all without a subscription fee. The radio uses either a wireless (WiFi) or Ethernet internet connection.

Ideal for home or office, the SANYO Internet Radio features easy network key entry when used on secured wireless networks. Internet radio stations and podcasts can be easily located by Country or Genre (MP3, WMA, AAC, AIFF, RM and WAV formats supported) with eight Internet station presets. The device also boasts an FM stereo digital tuner with eight station presets. The SANYO Internet Radio R227 has an MSRP of $169.99. It will be available in the U.S.A. in January 2009.
