Trident's DVB-T System Software Enters European DTV Market

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Trident Microsystems, Inc. (NASDAQ:TRID) a leader in high-performance semiconductor system solutions for the multimedia and digital television markets, today announced that its European DVB-T system software, powered by its HiDTV(TM) PRO-FX system-on-a-chip (SoC) solutions, has been integrated into Grundig Elektronik's New City Line Models, the BERLIN 32-8850T, BERLIN 37-8850T and the Vision-7 47-7851T full HD digital televisions now selling in Europe.

Trident's DVB-T system middleware was developed by Trident and meets Europe's iDTV DVB-T broadcasting standards. It has been successfully field tested across Europe.
