Tired of TARP Bailouts? TransMedia Group to Promote First 'Home Aid Concerts' to Benefit Troubled At-Risk Families (TARF) Helping Dispel Those Foreclosure Blues

BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- TransMedia Group has been retained to publicize the overture of "Home Aid Concerts," the first series of all-star concerts that will be to troubled homeowners what Willie Nelson's "Farm Aid" concerts were to farmers, a source of pick-me-up entertainment and financial aid.

Morgan Renee Entertainment Inc. hired TransMedia, the PR firm founded by former NBC Programming VP Tom Madden, to publicize the debut of more than a dozen monthly concerts featuring star performers in adult contemporary, country and Latin.

According to R.E. Carrillo, Morgan Renee's President and CEO, TransMedia will announce the first concert to be held in February 2009 at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater here to aid Troubled At-Risk Families or TARF. Madden said he came up with TARF as a play on the infamous acronym TARP, the U.S. Treasury Department's acronym for its controversial Troubled Assets Relief Program.

"So far TARP has only bailed out banks and other financial institutions, but has ignored deeply troubled homeowners on the verge of foreclosure, for whom Home Aid artists will raise funds," Madden said. Carrillo has secured a one-year contract for the Sunset Cove venue from Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department.

"These concerts will do what the Treasury Department and its TARP bailouts have failed to do, which is help distressed homeowners to avoid the scourge of foreclosures that precipitated our Nation's current financial crisis," Madden said.

TransMedia will announce the first star performer in December. Meanwhile TransMedia will set the stage for a publicity and marketing program aimed at generating sponsorships for the benefit concert series.
