LP33.tv Announces First in Series of Partnership Deals With Indie Record Labels

LP33.tv Announces First in Series of Partnership Deals With Indie Record Labels

SANTA MONICA, Calif. and LONDON, Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- The TV-centric music promotional and discovery site LP33.tv today announced the first of two partnership agreements in an on-going series of promotional and distribution deals with independent record labels that will be rolled out in the upcoming months.

4 West

New York based 4 West represents the multiple gold and platinum selling act Schiller, who has been nominated for a Grammy for collaboration with classical pianist superstar Lang Lang. 4 West also represents new hot-shots 'The Heys,' who are being championed by Alan McGee, former owner of Creation Records who discovered and launched Oasis.

Juergen Korduletsch of 4 West said, "We approached LP33 before launch as we were excited by what they had to offer to us and our artists. Not only are they a video-based promotional platform for current fans, LP33 is also a brilliant way for discovery and experience of our acts by new fan communities around the world."

Schiller is a platinum-selling sensation in mainland Europe and is currently opening for Depeche Mode on major Arena dates. His latest single features vocals by platinum-selling US sensation Colbie Caillat, and the video is available at http://lp33.tv/schiller .

Custard

LP33.tv is very proud to also announce that it has signed a strategic alliance with Linda Perry's Custard record label. Often credited with bringing out the real artist in some of today's most acclaimed performers, songwriter/producer Linda Perry is one of the most sought after names in music today.

The Custard deal initially revolves around the launch of rock act Bigelf (http://lp33.tv/bigelf), dubbed the definitive "new classic" in rock, as well as the UK launch of established US act Ben Jelen (http://lp33.tv/benjelen). "It's exciting to see what LP33 are working to achieve. With Andrew in charge, and the backing of members of Genesis and their management, I'm sure their vision is going to help shape the Music Industry moving forward," says Perry.

This is the first in a series of announcements this year from LP33.tv about partnerships with independent labels in both the US and Europe. These include a number of labels representing established star acts with on-going significant fan followings, major regional artists (selling several hundred thousand records) as well as labels representing the next generation of breakout stars.

CEO Andrew Bentley, who held senior executive positions at EMI Music noted, "We have been compared favorably in the press several times to MySpace Music. We have a distinct offering, one that is much more focused and appropriate for the needs of indie label artists. We have a clear vision of supporting and enabling talented artists at every level of the industry, and are proud that Linda Perry and 4 West records recognize the strengths of our offering."

Artist Liaison Director Catalina Guirado notes, "Artists and their managers appreciate the deals and revenue generating services we have to offer, the video-rich environment and programming we make about them, as well as the embeddable video playlists and stores we offer to promote their music to a wider audience."
