HDNet to present live launch coverage beginning Friday, November 14, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. ET
DALLAS, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- WHAT: HDNet to broadcast LIVE HD coverage of the launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour for a rendezvous with the International Space Station, the twenty-seventh such meeting.

The mission of STS-126 is to deliver equipment to the International Space Station that will enable larger crews to reside aboard the complex. Astronaut Christopher J. Ferguson commands the mission. Endeavour will carry a reusable logistics module (Leonardo) that will hold supplies and equipment, including additional crew quarters, additional exercise equipment, equipment for the regenerative life support system and spare hardware. With this addition, up to six astronauts (double the current crew size) can reside for long-duration missions. There are also four space-walks planned for the mission and Endeavour is carrying equipment and supplies for these ventures.
