Casting Society of America Announces Winners of 24th Annual Artios Awards(R) for Outstanding Achievements in Casting
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- In front of over 800 Industry professionals at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, the Casting Society of America announced the winners of the 24th Artios Awards(R), November 10, 2008. Presented yearly for outstanding achievement in casting, awards are given on the criteria of originality, creativity and the contribution of casting to the overall quality of a project.
The Casting Society of America also recognizes Industry notables with a Career Achievement Award, New York Apple Award and bestows the Hoyt Bowers Award on one of its own. The Career Achievement Award was presented to Craig Zadan and Neil Meron, Thomas Schumacher received the New York Apple Award, and the Hoyt Bowers Award was presented to the late Mali Finn.
