NEW YORK, Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Former "A Tribe Called Quest" front man, Q-Tip brought the house down in a taping of VH1 Soul "Soulstage: Q-Tip presented by Infiniti." Shot in front of a live studio audience, VH1 Soul "SoulStage," provides viewers with exclusive world premiere performances of songs from Q-Tip's brand new album, with an inside look at his intricate rhymes and distinctive sound. Joining the esteemed ranks of past "SoulStage" artists Jill Scott, Wyclef Jean, Erykah Badu and Raphael Saadiq, this newest installment of VH1 Soul's "Soulstage" remained true to the tradition of bringing unstoppable soul to the stage and screen.

Premiering on VH1 Soul and VH1Soul.com simultaneously on Monday, November 3 at 9PM*, VH1 Soul's "Soul Stage" will showcase Q-Tip at his finest. He brought the crowd to their feet from start to finish as the hip hop veteran ran through classic hits as well as new songs from his upcoming solo album set to release on election day November 4, 2008. Q-Tip joked with the crowd for most of the night but became emotional when he talked about one song from his new album which includes a clip from one of presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama's campaign speeches.

With a 3-piece band behind him, Q-Tip declared his new album titled "Renaissance," as the catalyst to give hip hop a new beginning. He provided the VH1 Soul audience with intimate performances of "Move," "Getting Up" and "Fever." Classic "A Tribe Called Quest" and Q-Tip hits like "Vivrant Thing," "Check The Rhyme" and "Bonita Applebaum" reminded audience members why Q-Tip remains a top lyricist at the top of the hip hop game.

An additional exclusive performance of the track "Move" from Q-Tip's new album will be available online at VH1Soul.com beginning Tuesday, November 4.
