The beloved holiday classic "A Christmas Story" celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary this November. To mark this milestone, A Christmas Story House and Museum presents "A Christmas Story" Twenty-fifth Anniversary Celebration and Convention in November in Cleveland. The event features a reunion of actors from the movie. The convention will bring "A Christmas Story" fans, known as Ralphies, to Cleveland where many exterior scenes of the movie were filmed. Veterinary Pet Insurance Reveals Most Unusual Pet Names

Move over Max. Not all Americans have bought into the concept of monosyllabic human names for their pets. For some, the pet name trend is more toward the unusual -- or just plain bizarre. After years of tracking the most popular names for pets, Veterinary Pet Insurance, set out to find the most unusual cat and dog names from among its almost half a million pets insured nationwide. V-P-I employees selected fifty unusual dog names and fifty unusual cat names, and then voted for the ten most unusual names in each category. Dog name winners include Rush Limbark and Sirius Lee Handsome. The top cat name is Edward Scissorpaws followed by Sir Lix-a-lot.

Nine-point-six Million U-S T-V Households Still Unprepared for the Digital Switch With Only Four Months to Go Until Transition

According to The Nielsen Company, more than nine million households are not ready for the upcoming transition to all-digital broadcasting and would be unable to receive any television programming at all if the transition occurred today. Another twelve-point-six million households have at least one television set that will no longer work when the digital transition occurs, meaning that nearly one in five U-S households are either partially or completely unready for the transition. In a research paper released recently, Nielsen reported that the number of fully unprepared homes decreased almost one and a half percentage points from May to September of this year.
