WXYZ-TV to Celebrate 60th Anniversary October 21st with a Triple Treat
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Legendary Broadcasters Bill Bonds, John Kelly and Marilyn Turner are dusting off their sport coats to help mark Channel 7's 60th Anniversary at Broadcast House.
Long before there was "Live with Regis and Kelly" there was "Kelly & Company" as the nation's first husband and wife talk-show team. As part of its 60th celebration, WXYZ-TV, will air "The Best of Kelly & Company" with John Kelly & Marilyn Turner looking back at some of their favorite moments from their 17 year show. The special will air 10:00am to 11:00am.
Be sure to stay tuned! After 30 years, Bill Bonds, John Kelly & Marilyn Turner will make television history when they reunite on the anchor desk for a special edition of Action News 7pm. Bonds and Kelly will anchor the news, Marilyn will be reporting the weather just like they did in the 1970s.
Then keep it on WXYZ for a prime time special "From the Heart: 60th Anniversary Special." Anchor Erik Smith takes a look at the rich history of Detroit's premiere television station. The one hour prime time special will also focus on how Channel 7 is taking the lead in the new age of digital technology.
