"We are delighted that Town Meeting has supported our project," said Plymouth ROCK Studios Chairman, David Kirkpatrick. "We would like to thank all of the elected officials in Plymouth and their staffs for their hard work over this past year."

"History was made tonight," said Chairman of the Selectmen, Dick Quintal. "I believe this is a plan that works for everyone."

Plymouth town Meeting Members were asked on Monday evening to approve a new "Movie and Entertainment Production Overlay District (MEPOD)" and a Tax Increment Financing Agreement (TIF) for the proposed Project. In both instances, the town meeting articles were approved by an overwhelming majority.

With the approvals from Town Meeting, Plymouth ROCK Studios will now be able to move forward with the permitting and financing phases of the project, which will include fourteen state-of-the-art digital sound stages, over two hundred thousand square feet of office space, a hotel and amenity village and an educational campus.

"We are very excited about moving forward with our permitting process now that town meeting has given us the green light," said Plymouth ROCK Studios Managing Partner Bill Wynne. "We look forward to breaking ground next year, and the benefits of the project, such as the thousands of new jobs, millions of dollars in tax revenue and infrastructure improvements needed at the South Plymouth High School campus and the Exit 3 area."
