LOS ANGELES, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- KoldCast TV and Eye Scream Films today announced the exclusive debut of the new comedy web series, Poor Paul, in HD on the KoldCast television network. Kevin G. Schmidt (The Young and the Restless), who plays Justin in Poor Paul, has already had a solid career with major roles in films like Cheaper by the Dozen 1 and 2, The Butterfly Effect, and the upcoming Disney Channel movie, Princess Protection Program. Zack Bennett, who plays the role of Paul, began his acting career with a Florida's Natural Orange Juice commercial and moved on to roles in several films and television shows including a guest star appearance in UPN's Half & Half. The cast also includes the adorable Samantha Droke (Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Princess Protection Program) who plays Bonnie, the all-too-sexy Floriana Lima (How I Met Your Mother), who plays The Fantasy Woman, Nicholas Braun (Walter and Henry, Disney's Sky High), who plays Clyde, and the hilarious Palmer Scott (Nip/Tuck) as Lloyd. Poor Paul is an Eye Scream Films production, co-produced by Kevin Schlanser (lonelygirl15) and written by Geoff Hoff and Steve Mancini.

Poor Paul follows three college-aged roommates, an "odd trio," navigating life. Says Beyer of Poor Paul, "It's not quite a sitcom, not quite a video Blog and not quite reality or fantasy -- it's just an outrageous slice of life that at one time or another we have all experienced."

"We're thrilled to be able to introduce Poor Paul to the world. It's a genuinely edgy and politically incorrect comedy that we are confident our Viewers will dig," says David S. Samuels, CEO of KoldCast TV. Sean (Beyer) has perfectly mixed Paul's outrageous fantasies, oft the subject of his video blog, with the day-to-day quirky lives of the show's characters. The show is well written, innovatively shot, has an incredible cast and it flat out makes you laugh. Viewers will undoubtedly be eager to watch subsequent episodes," Samuels added.

"We selected KoldCast TV because from the very first time I visited their site and saw the professional presentation and the outstanding quality of the videos, I knew it would be a great venue for Poor Paul. And to top it off, the willingness of the KCTV team to go above and beyond and do whatever it takes to make their shows a success, had me sold," said Beyer.

Poor Paul begins airing on demand, with the release of the first two episodes, on the KoldCast TV Network on September 16th at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Subsequent episodes will be released every Tuesday, beginning on September 23rd. Episodes will also be uploaded to MySpace and YouTube for the first season.
