NEW YORK, Aug. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The wackiness ensues on season two of Nick Jr.'s Emmy award-winning animated preschool comedy series, Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!. The network will celebrate Wubbzy's return with a week of brand-new episodes from Monday, Aug. 18, through Friday, Aug. 22, at 1:30 p.m. (ET/PT), kicking off with the premiere of "Who's That Girl?" / "Wubbzy's Big Move." In the new season, preschoolers will join Wubbzy, Widget and Walden on new comical and fantastical adventures and meet the new girl in town, Daizy. Daizy lives in a flower-shaped house next door to Wubbzy. She is an independent and spunky six-year-old girl who loves rainbows, princesses and unicorns, and shares Wubbzy's love for fun and discovery. Also featured in the second season is figure-skating champion Michelle Kwan as the voice of renowned athlete and Wubblympics record-holder, Michelle Kwanzzleberry and Ty Pennington, (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition), as the voice of Ty Ty the Handy Guy. In addition, the gang will go "green" in several episodes as they learn the importance of re-using bottles, gardening and saving trees.

Nick Jr.'s award-winning website (www.nickjr.com) will feature an interactive game and activities to complement the season two launch of Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!. NickJr.com will feature "Daizy's Kickity-Kick Ball" game where kids can go online and play as Daizy or Wubbzy, and kick balls high into the air so they bounce into as many objects as possible. NickJr.com will also feature a Daizy flip book and additional Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! themed printables, crafts, activities and more.
In "Who's That Girl?", Wubbzy is excited when new neighbor Daizy moves in next door and he discovers she's great fun to play with! But when Wubbzy brings over his transformer toy robot, Daizy dresses the robot up in a fancy tuxedo and sits him down at her tea party. Then when playing make-believe, Wubbzy is supposed to play a scary dragon, but Daizy dresses him up in bows and a frilly costume. Later, Wubbzy gets distracted by a kickity-kickball game and abandons Daizy, which really hurts her feelings. Wubbzy apologizes and soon they find out there are some games -- like hippity-hopscotch -- they can play together.
In "Wubbzy's Big Move", Wubbzy is having so much fun at the Wubb Club that he decides he wants to live there. But when he moves in, everything goes wrong -- he falls on the slippy-slidey floors, loses his TV in a giant bubble, keeps falling into water holes and is surrounded by monkeys when he's trying to sleep. Wubbzy quickly discovers that no matter how much fun a clubhouse is, there's no place like home.
Wow! Wow! Wubbzy! supports preschool social skills -- sharing, listening, compromising, helping and appreciating others, self-awareness and humor as a coping skill. Although their world is more fanciful and imaginative than our own, Wubbzy, Daizy, Widget and Walden face the same interpersonal and developmental issues that typical preschoolers face. They learn how they fit into the group, how to understand their own feelings and those of others, and how to get along with one another. As preschoolers watch Wubbzy, Widget and Walden tackle these issues, they are exposed to important ideas about both interpersonal and intrapersonal development.
Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!, produced by Bolder Media for Boys and Girls, Inc. in association with Starz Media, LLC and created by Emmy award-winning Bob Boyle (producer on Nickelodeon's The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom), stars an innocent, cheerful little guy named Wubbzy (Grey DeLisle) and his three loveable pals Daizy, Widget and Walden who live in the charming and visually quirky world of Wuzzleburg. Wubbzy wants to have fun and spend his time chasing flutterflys, eating ice cream and playing kickity-kickball! But when he runs into trouble, he calls on his three best friends for help and advice. Widget (Lara Jill Miller) is a mechanical whiz who owns a fix-it shop and is always ready to lend a hand. Her solution to any problem is to build something big and complicated, but her inventions don't always work! Walden (Carlos Alazraqui) is a quirky intellect who finds great wisdom in everything from ancient philosophy to tarot card reading. He has a passionate curiosity and a unique way of looking at the world, but his brainy approach doesn't always produce practical results.
