More Than One-Third of Female Workers Say They Are Paid Less Than Their Male Counterparts With the Same Experience, CareerBuilder-dot-com Survey Finds

While some may say the "glass ceiling" in the office is being shattered, according to a new survey from CareerBuilder-dot-com, the Battle of the Sexes continues in the workplace. Employers are increasingly introducing programs to promote equality, yet more than one-third of female workers say they feel they are paid less than their counterparts of the opposite sex with the same skills and qualifications -- relatively unchanged from thirty-five percent in 2006. Eleven percent of men say they feel they are paid less than their female counterparts.

Patients in the United States made an estimated one point one billion visits to physician offices and hospital outpatient and emergency departments in 2006, an average of four visits per person per year, according to new health care statistics released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Apartments-dot-com National Survey Reveals Renters are Spending More to Move in 2008

As soaring energy and food costs continue to drive up consumer expenditures around the country, increased moving expenses are no exception for renters looking for a new place to call home this year. In fact, more than fifty percent of renters said they have either already spent, or anticipate spending more on their move this year compared to years past, according to a national survey by Apartments-dot-com.
