OurStage's Online Gig and Talent Finder, Marketplace, Adds Noise Pop, RedGorilla Music Festivals, Artists Matt Nathanson and Kaki King to List of Industry Partners
New Additions Create Opportunities for Artists and Industry Professionals
BOSTON, Aug. 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OurStage (http://www.ourstage.com/), a music discovery destination providing professional opportunities for up-and-coming talent, today announced the addition of four new partners to its online gig and talent finder resource, Marketplace, including music festivals Noise Pop and RedGorilla and artists Matt Nathanson and Kaki King.
Launched last month in a joint trial artist development agreement with Live Nation, Marketplace is an online resource which enables artists and bands to proactively find and apply for gigs, and industry professionals to easily find, validate and book artists for performances and music-related projects.
"We are pleased with the success of Marketplace since launch, as it underscores the value we have set out to create for industry professionals in search of quality talent and artists seeking gigs," said Ben Campbell, CEO of OurStage. "We value our partnerships with superior venues, festivals and talent, and are excited to add new, influential partners to Marketplace, further representing the diversity in opportunities offered to both top-ranked artists and industry professionals."
Fostering its commitment to provide first-class performance opportunities to up-and-coming artists, OurStage's Marketplace partnered with leading music festivals, Noise Pop and RedGorilla to give top-ranked artists the opportunity to perform for thousands of festival participants. Through a fan-driven competition, 10 artists were selected to perform at this year's Noise Pop Festival. Due to their success, Noise Pop will expand its partnership with Marketplace to select additional artists to perform at Noise Pop 2009. RedGorilla Music Fest will also join the list of national music festivals utilizing Marketplace to identify and book talent.
"As RedGorilla strives to promote emerging independent music and artists, the partnership with OurStage will be key in bringing artists, fans and industry professionals together online," said Kelly Fenton of RedGorilla Music Fest. "We are confident that this partnership will prove beneficial in contributing to showcase the best in new and independent music at the 2009 Festival."
Additionally, rock/folk musician Matt Nathanson and guitarist Kaki King with the Mountain Goats have agreed to use Marketplace to select OurStage artists to open for 10 shows in their upcoming Fall tours, respectively.
Artists can apply today for these new gigs offered by the OurStage Marketplace by visiting www.ourstage.com/marketplace and submitting their OurStage EPKs.
