"We are bringing the Check, Please! experience to millions of vacationers from around the world who visit Cancun each year," said David Manilow, CEO and Founder of the Emmy-award winning half hour TV program airing in Chicago, San Francisco and Miami. "Travelers can now virtually visit a diverse selection of people's favorite Cancun restaurants online before leaving home. They get to experience the restaurants, from the food to the ambience to the decor. And, they meet the person making the recommendation."

Check, Please! teamed with Apple Vacations to produce the series. "One of the first things people think about when they get to a destination is "Where do we eat?" said Sandy Babin, Vice President of Marketing at Apple Vacations. "We are very excited about this project with Check, Please! We are helping travelers share their favorite dining destinations with one another. It's a great way for Apple to help people have a wonderful vacation experience."

The Cancun series features 10 restaurants that were recommended by travelers and local residents of Cancun. Each video features an interview with the person making the recommendation discussing why they like the restaurant, the food and other aspects of the dining experience. The videos feature the beautiful food and interesting restaurant ambience visuals that exemplify the Check, Please! TV show's high production values.

Visitors to the website www.checkpleasetv.com can view all the videos and soon will be able to post their own reviews and recommendations for their favorite Cancun restaurants.

"Check, Please! videos raise a viewer's appetite, while also giving them a very strong sense of the dining experience and a unique opportunity to see and relate to the person making the recommendation," said Manilow. "With our online destination dining series, Check, Please! now reaches a broad audience with an unlimited number of locations to review."

Restaurants cannot pay to be featured on Check, Please! The only way a restaurant can be covered is if it is recommended. Sponsorship fees paid by consumer goods, travel and media companies that want to reach the Check, Please! dining out audience and make its unique video content available to their customers, support the business.

Check, Please! Background

Check, Please! began airing in Chicago in 2001 on WTTW-TV, the local PBS affiliate. Each week, a diverse group of three regular Chicagoans visit and review each other's recommended restaurants. Effect" by restaurant owners. In 2005, Check, Please! Bay Area debuted in San Francisco on the PBS affiliate. The show was an immediate hit and quickly became the largest driver of traffic to the station's website. Check. Please!
