VH1 Summer of Soul Concert Presented By Harman Kardon and Mercedes-Benz Raises $200,000 for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation

The Benefit Concert Featured Performances By Grammy Award Winner NE-YO and Singer-Songwriter Solange

SAG HARBOR, N.Y., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Grammy award-winning, multi-platinum singer and chart topping songwriter, NE-YO along with singer-songwriter Solange performed at VH1 Summer of Soul Concert Presented By Harman Kardon and Mercedes-Benz, a benefit for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation on Friday, July 18, 2008 at THE EMM Group Estate in the Hamptons.

World-renowned DJ Sky Nellor kept guests entertained all night while singer-songwriter Solange wowed the crowd with her impressive musical talents. To bring the event to an unbelievable climax, NE-YO left the audience floored with his collection of hits and jaw-dropping dance moves.

A star-studded line-up of guests came to show their support for The Foundation including: Aretha Franklin, Lorraine Bracco, Matthew and Tina Knowles, Russell Simmons, John Sykes, event chairs Morris and Jaci Reid, Joyce Varvatos, Grant and Tamia Hill and Robert Iler.

"This event marks a wonderful step forward for the VH1 Save The Music Foundation as we were able to achieve our goal of raising $200,000," said Paul Cothran, Foundation Executive Director/VP.
