MSNBC's Joe Scarborough to Be Featured on 'Inside Government'

AFGE D.C. Government Local Also to Discuss Recent Termination of Housing Code Inspectors

WASHINGTON, July 17 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Former U.S. Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-Fla.), host of MSNBC's "Morning Joe" and author of "Rome Wasn't Burnt in a Day: The Real Deal on How Politicians, Bureaucrats, and Other Washington Barbarians are Bankrupting America," will be featured this week on the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) radio program "Inside Government." Scarborough will address the impact of rising gas prices, and provide an analysis of the 2008 presidential race. Also hear from Joslyn Williams, president of the Washington Metropolitan Council, AFL-CIO, and Eric Bunn, president of AFGE's D.C. Local 2725. Both Williams and Bunn will discuss issues facing the District including the recent termination of 18 housing code inspectors. Chuck Orzehoskie, president of AFGE's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Council 238, will also address hiring practices within EPA and the fight to prevent EPA library closures throughout the county.
