BowTie Editor-At-Large To Be One of Three Judges on CBS' 'Greatest American Dog'

IRVINE, Calif., June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- BowTie, Inc., the world's largest publisher of pet and animal magazines, announced that Allan Reznik, editor-at-large for Dog Fancy and Dog World magazines, has joined CBS' new reality-competition show, "Greatest American Dog," as one of the program's judges.

Twelve extraordinary teams of dogs and owners from across the nation will compete for the title of GREATEST AMERICAN DOG. Hosted by zoologist/television personality Jarod Miller, owners and their pets -- from "pageant dogs" to those simply trained at home -- will live together and compete against each other in challenges that put the owners' ability to train their dogs to the test. Each week, the judges (Wendy Diamond, Allan Reznik and Victoria Stilwell) will eliminate one dog and their owner. The last remaining team will walk away with a $250,000 cash prize and the title of GREATEST AMERICAN DOG.

"There is great chemistry among the three judges, and some very engaging dog-and-owner teams competing," said Reznik. "The show will be fast-paced and entertaining, but informative as well, with the judges commenting on behavior issues and offering breed-specific advice."

Reznik has been involved in the dog world as an owner, breeder, trainer, dog-show exhibitor, handler, judge and media commentator. Prior to joining BowTie, Reznik was editor-in-chief of Dogs In Canada. He is a graduate of Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

Greatest American Dog will premiere Thursday, July 10, on CBS at 8PM ET/PT.
