"We are very excited about the opportunity to work with MyTV9," Connecticut Sun general manager Chris Sienko said. "We are entering into a multi-year deal, which gives us the opportunity to expand to more games in future seasons. This is also an excellent way for the two companies to create a partnership that will benefit all of Connecticut, as MyTV9 is a statewide broadcast television station."

"This partnership with Mohegan Sun and the Connecticut Sun WNBA franchise is a tremendous opportunity for both our organizations to bring Connecticut's only professional sport to a new level," said Jon Hitchcock, the Vice President and General Manager of WTNH and WCTX. "This caliber of sports is an excellent complement to our programming as we continue to brand MyTV9 as the place for local sports."

MyTV9 will broadcast three games from Mohegan Sun Arena and five Sun games on the road during the 2008 season. The first broadcast will be on May 18th when Connecticut plays at New York at 4 p.m., and the first home game for the station will be June 8th against Washington at 3 p.m. Other games on MyTV9 WCTX include June 16th at Seattle at 10 p.m., against Detroit on June 24th at 7 p.m., at Chicago on July 18th at 8:30 p.m., June 24th against Los Angeles at 7 p.m., at Indiana on Aug. 28th at 7 p.m. and Sept. 9th at 8:30 p.m. at Houston. All times are Eastern. In addition, sister station WTNH/ABC will televise games nationally on July 13th at Washington at 3:30 p.m., and on August 31st against Seattle at 1 p.m.

The Connecticut Sun opens its sixth season of play on May 17th by hosting the Atlanta Dream in Mohegan Sun Arena. Season tickets and mini-plans are on sale now and can be reserved by calling a Sun Ticket Sales Representative at 1.877.SUN.TIXX (786-8499).
