Refreshingly Upbeat New South African Film Hits UK

LONDON, March 18/PRNewswire/ -- Award-winning, MTV Films produced South African comedy smash Bunny Chow
hits the UK from the 21st March at the ICA in London. Film distributor
Dogwoof bring this authentic grassroots South African comedy to selected UK

Since Tsotsi broke onto the international scene in 2005 and announced a
new age in South African filmmaking, an increasing number of the nation's
films have found their way to the UK film market. What sets Bunny Chow apart
is that it's the first time a South African comedy has made it to our shores.

Distributed by leading UK label Dogwoof, Bunny Chow - an Official
Selection at the Toronto International Film Festival - has garnered massive
support from the UK-based South African media, and ex-pat community at large.

Rasdien, Kagiso Lediga, David Kibuuka, and directed by award-winning
filmmaker John Barker, Bunny Chow represents a welcome addition to the
nation's film exports.

Director Barker references the success of Tsotsi "[Tsotsi director] Gavin
Hood really put us [South Africans] on the filmmaking map and we certainly
benefited from their success," but Bunny Chow offers a very different
approach to contemporary South Africa, and UK audiences have the chance to
