The KoldCast TV Network Officially Launches ... With Beta: Take One

-KoldCast TV releases line of three advanced media players supporting full screen HD-

-Announces CenterStage Talent MicroChannels, Searchable Database and Network-

IRVINE, Calif., March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- KoldCast EMV today announced that it has officially launched its new television network, KoldCast TV (http://www.koldcast.tv/), first announced in October, 2007. The company has replaced its online Teaser site with the first phase release of its Network site and is now delivering original, on-demand programming 24/7/365, including full screen HD support, via high speed broadband connection. The company also announced the debut of a 3-Player line of Advanced Media Players designed for use by its Content Partners and viewing audience who will embed these Players in a wide range of venues, from websites to social networking sites, extending the company's new presence on the Internet. At the same time, KoldCast TV has also launched the first release of CenterStage, a database of Talent MicroChannels open to entertainers interested in directly reaching entertainment consumers around the world.

"The official launch of KoldCast TV represents the opening of a sophisticated new distribution channel for television and movie production companies, filmmakers, producers, musicians and entertainers of all disciplines who are quickly recognizing that the Internet can now efficiently deliver programming into significant numbers of households and businesses in an entertaining fashion," said David S. Samuels, president and CEO of KoldCast TV. "In its heart, the entertainment industry knows, as do many savvy viewers, that we are at the beginning of the new golden age of television."

KoldCast TV is a Network of Networks

"We have designed our Network site in a way that allows viewers to enjoy finding and watching the fresh and creative on-demand programming available to them," Samuels explains. "The number one complaint we hear about the standard video-centric websites is that good programming is just too hard to find. The key words here are 'good programming' and 'hard to find.'"

The company believes that consumer familiarity with traditional television guides and menu systems is something to be respected. Accordingly, KoldCast TV uses a simple 4-level menu system to guide viewers to their selective programming -- Network, Channel, Show and Episode. At the first level, viewers select a Network of interest, like the Comedy network. Once selected, Comedy Channels appear, such as Comedy: Series. Viewers then simply select a Show from the listing within Comedy: Series and then click on an Episode from the Show. "If you've watched cable or satellite TV before, navigating KoldCast TV is like riding a bike," says Samuels; "It's effortless to steer and the entertainment is like a cool breeze."

Full screen viewing and HD support takes watching television on a computer to the next level. KoldCast TV is now building out its Network offerings and one of them is the KCHD Theater. Movie Trailer viewers, for example, can sit back, click on the Full Screen option and watch the majesty of The Alps from MacGillivray Freeman Films, one of KoldCast TV's Content Partners, or a short Comedy special like Switch from comic and filmmaker, Jeremy Saville.

KoldCast TV is free to viewers and registering as a KoldCast TV Viewer is optional. Interactive features within the Network site, such as Commenting or Blogging does, however, require a viewer to Sign Up before they can "leave their mark."

KoldCast Advanced Media Players (AMP's)

With the official launch of KoldCast comes a line of Advanced Media Players the company says it will begin to deploy through its Content Partners and Viewers on an immediate basis. The line, expected to be expanded on a continuing basis, features three Advance Media Players that can be individually programmed by the company to play any subset of the company's Network programming in any one unique venue.

All three KoldCast TV AMP's feature full screen and HD viewing and also feature a drop-down "EyeLid" that provides co-branding opportunities for KoldCast's strategic and Content Partners. And development work is nearing completion on a fourth KoldCast TV AMP dubbed the "JukeBox."

KoldCast TV's current AMP Lineup consists of:
-- AMP01 -- A Single-Video Embeddable Player
-- AMP12 -- A 12-Video Custom Programmable Player with Co-Branding
features
-- Affily8 -- An 8-Video Custom Programmable Player with Co-Branding and
graphics support features

CenterStage on KoldCast TV

Within the company's Beta: Take One release of KoldCast TV is CenterStage, an entertainment initiative that combines Talent MicroChannels with a searchable database and Network Channels.

"We have just begun to reach out to the entertainment industry to introduce them to CenterStage, where any talented individual pursuing a genuine career within the entertainment industry can create their own personal MicroChannel on KoldCast TV," Samuels said. Within CenterStage, talent can create their own channel which features their own video uploads, still photography and biographical information. "Here they can introduce themselves and their work to our viewers and to the entertainment industry at large, so we have organized this collection of MicroChannels into a searchable database that can be easily mined for this purpose. And soon, some of the best videos from these MicroChannels will be featured on our CenterStage Network and related Channel lineups. It's very cool and there is much more coming."

KoldCast TV Viewers will enjoy the ability to learn more about the entertainers who create their own MicroChannel and are also able to reach out to them through a blind messaging system.

Advertising revenues generated within individual CenterStage Talent MicroChannels will be shared with the respective Talent. KoldCast has several additional releases, each adding a new feature set, planned for CenterStage. The next phased release of CenterStage will include the ability for musicians, singers, bands, groups, etc., to sell music directly through their MicroChannels, among other features.
