IMAX Corporation appoints Northstar Media as exclusive worldwide representative for the IMAX XXI Film Package with 21 titles
21 top high-def films now available for television, VOD, mobile, and broadband
LOS ANGELES, CA and CONNECTICUT, March 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- IMAX Corporation, one of the world's leading digital entertainment and technology companies, and Northstar Media, a strategically diverse television program distribution company, announced today that the two companies have partnered on a distribution arrangement whereby Northstar Media has been appointed exclusive representative for the IMAX XXI Film Package consisting of 21 award-winning high-def IMAX(R) films including, key titles: TOM HANKS PRESENTS MAGNIFICENT DESOLATION: WALKING ON THE MOON 3D, SPACE STATION, INTO THE DEEP, T-REX: BACK TO THE CRETACEOUS and BLUE PLANET.
Under the terms of the agreement, Northstar Media will have the worldwide television, VOD, mobile, and broadband rights to this package marking the first time that all 21 titles have been available for these outlets. The announcement was made jointly today by Greg Foster, Chairman and President, Filmed Entertainment, IMAX Corporation and Andy Weir, Co-President, Northstar Media.
