Greater China Media & Entertainment Corporation's Stars Appear in the 'Invincible' TV Series

BEIJING, March 20 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Greater China Media & Entertainment Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: GCME) (GCME), an integrated professional media and entertainment company, announced that its signed actors Hei Zi, Yu Yue and Liu Liqi feature in a highly rated television series called 'Invincible'.

According to a Chinese movie source(1), this show, which is still playing on TV depicting the hard wars between two political parties back in 1930s in China, has been well received by audiences nationwidely. The DVDs are out of stock and the video store owners are vying to order more.

In 'Invincible', Hei Zi is a Kuomintang officer who falls in love with his enemy Xiao Yu, an underground Communist. Hei Zi has played numerous notable characters in the past, including roles in the epic movie 'Hero' directed by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Zhang Yimou and on the TV series 'Shen Diao Xia Lv' produced by CCTV, a national TV station in China. Hei Zi has worked with many influential directors and actors and these opportunities have honed his tremendous acting skills, establishing him as a solid performer and a well-respected professional with a promising career ahead of him.

Liu Liqi is well-known for her role as a pretty landlady in 'Wu Lin Wai Zhuan', a comedy that enjoyed unprecedented success in China's television history. In 'Invincible' she plays the role of Xiao Yu, a brave and courageous Communist who is also Hei Zai's dying wife. Meanwhile, actress Yu Yue plays a Kuomintang officer in 'Invincible' -- her first role as a soldier. Despite having to wear unattractive soldier's garb on screen, Yu Yue considers this acting experience to be invaluable to her career.

"The entertainers who signed up with GCME are all exceptional performers. Each has his or her own distinct talents and characteristics, and they all enjoy great popularity in the industry and with the public", stated Jake Wei, Chairman and CEO of Greater China Media & Entertainment Corporation. "Our performers are well-respected and sought-after by famed directors and producers and we know their awareness will continue to rise on both the national and international stages."
