Workers Reveal Top Ten Former Academy Award Winners They Would Like to Work for in New CareerBuilder.com Survey
CHICAGO, Feb. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Dramas are dominating the Best Picture category at the Oscars this year, and according to a new CareerBuilder.com survey conducted by Harris Interactive(R), it's prevalent in the workplace as well.
Thirty-two percent of U.S. workers say drama is the type of movie genre that best describes their workplace, followed by comedy at 28 percent and adventure at 11 percent. The good news for employers is only 6 percent of the workers surveyed say their workplace could be best described as a horror or a war movie. The survey titled, "Scenes from the Office," was conducted from November 13 to December 3, 2007 and included 6,704 workers.
When asked which former female Academy Award winner they would most like to work for, workers revealed the following as their top ten:

Survey Methodology
This survey was conducted online within the U.S. by Harris Interactive on behalf of CareerBuilder.com among 6,704 U.S. employees (employed full-time; not self-employed) ages 18 and over within the U.S. between November 13 and December 3, 2007. Figures for age, sex, race/ethnicity, education, region and household income were weighted where necessary to bring them into line with their actual proportions in the population. The data have been weighted to reflect the composition of U.S. employees, and propensity score weighting was also used to adjust for respondents' propensity to be online.
With a pure probability sample of 6,704, one could say with a ninety-five percent probability that the overall results have a sampling error of +/- 1.3% percentage points. Sampling error for data from sub-samples is higher and varies. However that does not take other sources of error into account. This online survey is not based on a probability sample and therefore no theoretical sampling error can be calculated. A full methodology is available upon request.
