Shop at Home Reminisces with 'Flashback February'
Second Oldest Shopping Network Celebrates Heritage During Last Month on Television
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Shop at Home network recently announced that the broadcast segment of the company will cease operations on March 7, 2008. Instead of gradually fading to black, the network is recreating some its most popular past programming during a month long "Flashback February" promotion. A series of reunion shows are in the works with special appearances by former on-air personalities rounding out the event.
"Many of our customers remember and relate to the shows Shop at Home produced in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s," said Tim Engle, President of Shop at Home. "We decided to celebrate how Shop at Home has contributed to the electronic retailing industry by giving viewers a look into the past but as always with great product."
Shop at Home customers and viewers will recognize the following shows and hosts associated with the 21 year old network. The promotional schedule for "Flashback February" is:
