Michael Cohl Elected Chairman of the Board of Live Nation

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Live Nation (NYSE:LYV) announced today that Michael Cohl has been elected Chairman of the company's Board of Directors effective immediately. Mr. Cohl was previously Vice Chairman of the Board. He will continue in his role as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Live Nation Artists.

Mr. Cohl is widely considered a pioneer in the touring business and is credited with developing the concept of "global" touring and the development of aftermarket tour revenue opportunities - books, television shows, videos/DVDs, films and merchandise. He has promoted four of the top five tours of all time.
