"I feel the core values of Charming Shoppes, 'celebrating the lives and fashion image of women,' is in line with the GlamourGals mission. The GG makeover is a celebration of the inner and outer beauty of each and every woman involved."

Voices is an annual campaign sponsored by Charming Shoppes that honors women across America for their passion, leadership and achievements as everyday women who raise their voice to create positive change. Doyle was selected from thousands of women from across the country who were nominated with essays describing the difference they have made in their communities. This year's nominations recognized women championing causes from natural disaster relief and medical research, to working with seniors and disabled persons.

In honor of her grandmother, Rachel Doyle founded GlamourGals in 2000, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating compassionate teen leaders by bridging the generational gap between teens and their elders. GlamourGals organizes chapters of teen volunteers to visit local nursing homes at least once a month to provide complimentary facials and makeovers. GlamourGals is currently active in seven states with over 50 chapters and is looking towards nationwide expansion. For more information about GlamourGals, visit www.glamourgals.org.

"We are honored to recognize women such as Rachel Doyle, who demonstrate their abilities and capacity to give back to their communities for the better," says Dorrit Bern, CEO of Charming Shoppes, Inc.
