Azteca America Affiliates Its 62nd Market in Eugene, Oregon, With Churchill Media

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America, the fastest-growing Hispanic television network in the United States, is proud to announce its 62nd market: Eugene, Oregon.

"This is another piece of an exciting strategy that Churchill Media has for developing Spanish-language media to serve Latino communities in the Northwest," said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Azteca America.

Over-the-air coverage is effective immediately on KXOR, channel 36 and Churchill expects to soon be available on Comcast's channel 617 in Eugene.

This is the second Azteca America affiliate for Churchill Media, which began broadcasting on KXPD channel 52 in Portland last year. The group also owns the LaX Spanish-language radio network, which transmits in Yakima, Washington, as well as in Portland and Eugene, Oregon. Additionally, the group operates a talk radio station in Eugene, and an ESPN en Espanol radio affiliate.
