Splash First to Launch Breaking Entertainment News Video Daily Directly to Consumers

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Splash News is the first photo agency to launch its own branded entertainment news video. As new media habits form around online video, Splash is seeing a huge request for compelling content that people can 'snack' on. Using Splash's huge picture and video archive as well as the daily news feed, the agency is shooting, editing, and producing 3 x 3 minute entertainment news wrap-ups. These videos can be formatted for TV, online and mobile platforms in any language.

Splash CEO, Gary Morgan commented, "Splash is the first celebrity photo agency to be able to make its own branded programming and this project is spearheading our drive to tap into the direct to consumer market. A dedicated team is producing the show, translating the scripts and compiling voiceovers in English, Dutch, German and Italian and plans expand that to Spanish and other languages. The show is an edgy look at entertainment news designed to attract the younger Internet demographic. Splash recently landed a coup by licensing a massive one-of-a-kind video archive from Kaplan Video, one of the oldest outfits of its kind. Splash now has exclusive rights to distribute and store video footage from 4000 video strong Kaplan. Splash currently generates between 20 and 60 video clips a day and the Splash video archive contains 10,000 video clips.
