Nashville's Chris St. Croix Proves Being Dirty Pays Off
CHICAGO, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Nashvillian Chris St. Croix is a dirty boy. That's fine by him since that makes him the proud winner of AXE's "The World's Dirtiest Film" nationwide contest. The film, which premieres online today at http://www.worldsdirtiestfilm.com/, is a compilation of produced scenes featuring David Spade and user-generated videos of guys and girls getting dirty, including St. Croix's winning video "Chick Fight."
"The World's Dirtiest Film" kicked off in September on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" when AXE Shower Gel and David Spade asked filmmakers across the country to submit their own "dirty" films for a chance to make the cut into the final short-length film. While there is absolutely no nudity, there's plenty of footage that is so dirty ... that guys will beg for a shower.
St. Croix's film, "Chick Fight," plots fellow Nashvillians Jennifer Spriggs and Lindsay Pillatsch against each other after they arrive at the front door of a guy's house at the same time to deliver a birthday surprise. When the baked goods go flying, the birthday boy arrives to clean up the mess. While the film is one of several online submissions featured in the final version of "The World's Dirtiest Film," it's the only one recognized as the dirtiest, and funniest, of them all.
The reward for St. Croix's dirty work is a trip for two to Los Angeles with $5,000 spending cash in his grimy hands, plus an iMac(R) Pro with Final Cut(R) Pro editing software and a Sony(R) HD Digicam to ensure that he keeps representing Nashville filmmakers in future films.*
"AXE is known for those provocative, eye-catching ads, so as a filmmaker this was something I had to get involved in," said St. Croix. "It also provided a great excuse to make two beautiful women rub birthday cake into each other's faces. Winning the contest is just the icing on that cake."
Since moving to Nashville in 1996, Chris has worked for several of the city's video production companies. In 2003, he wrote and directed his first short film "Rocco & Vinnie" and is currently seeking distribution for the recently completed "Shattered," his first feature film project.
