Allin Interactive Television Selected by MSC Cruises for MSC Musica & MSC Poesia

Allin Interactive Television Selected by MSC Cruises for MSC Musica & MSC Poesia

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Allin Corporation (BULLETIN BOARD: ALLN) announced that it has secured an agreement with MSC Cruises to deploy Allin's digital interactive television solution on two additional MSC vessels -- the MSC Musica and the new build, MSC Poesia, scheduled to debut in April, 2008.

"We are very excited that our agreement with Allin will extend their innovative ITV technology across all of our Musica-class ships," stated Mr. Emilio La Scala, General Manager of MSC Cruise Technical Division. "We also look forward to working with Allin in the future to design a new generation interactive platform for high-definition television for our Fantasia-class vessels, the first of which will sail in November, 2008."

"MSC Cruises has proven to be a tremendous client of Allin Interactive," stated Doug Tempero, Managing Director of Allin Interactive. "The fact that MSC Cruises has increased the size of its operations so rapidly is a testament to the success of the line and we are extremely pleased to continue as MSC's ITV solution of choice."

Allin Interactive completed its first ITV installation with MSC Cruises on MSC Orchestra, the second ship in the Musica class, in May, 2007.

The 89,600-ton MSC Musica, introduced in June, 2006, has 242,000 square feet of public space and 20,000 square feet of deck space and accommodates 2,550 passengers. Eighty per cent of the staterooms are ocean view accommodations with 65% of those having private verandas. The ship offers multiple dining options including two restaurants, a sushi bar, a premium restaurant and a casual pizza/grill area. The ship also has a 1,240-seat theater, a stern-placed dance club with a panoramic view of the ship's wake, a 7,000-square-foot casino and a 13,000-square-foot spa.

The 1,275 cabin MSC Poesia, currently being built at Aker France yard in northwestern France (formerly Chantiers d'Atlantique), is the third vessel in the Musica class and will be delivered in April, making it the ninth in MSC's fleet.

The first of the MSC Fantasia-class ships is now under construction at Aker France yard. At 135,000 tons, MSC Fantasia and its sister MSC Splendida which is on order, represent the largest ships ever to be ordered by a European ship owner. These will have 1,637 staterooms and suites with unique features such as a private "VIP area" much like a concierge level in a hotel.

Allin Corporation and MSC Cruises expect to enter into an agreement at a later date for the joint development of the high-definition platform planned for the Fantasia-class ships. The current agreement also does not include the fourth Musica-class ship, MSC Magnifica, to be introduced to service in 2010.

About MSC Cruises

MSC Cruises is a division of Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), a privately owned company with a longstanding history on the seas headed by captain Gianluigi Aponte. MSC, the world's second-largest cargo line with approximately 300 ships, entered the cruise industry in 1988 with the introduction of MSC Cruises. MSC Cruises combines a deep heritage at sea with an enthusiastic, young, motivated management team to present a company philosophy of innovation and Italian tradition. MSC Cruises currently operates nine cruise ships, including the MSC Poesia (2008), MSC Orchestra (2007), MSC Musica (2006), MSC Opera (2004), MSC Lirica (2003), MSC Sinfonia (2002), MSC Armonia (2001), MSC Melody and MSC Rhapsody. In addition, MSC has a fourth MSC-class vessel (MSC Magnifica) and two Fantasia-class vessels (MSC Fantasia and MSC Serenata) on order, which will conclude a 4 billion Euros investment in cruise ship building initiated with the construction of the MSC Lirica in 2003. This aggressive growth has vaulted MSC Cruises to the status of fastest growing cruise line in the industry with 12 ships in service by the end of 2010.

MSC Cruises offers itineraries in the Mediterranean all year round, in Northern Europe, Transatlantic, the Caribbean, South America and South Africa.
