Wentworth Gallery Presents Artist Grace Slick October 19, 20 & 21

Former Lead Singer of Jefferson Airplane Presents a Collection of Original Paintings and Limited Editions

HACKENSACK, N.J., Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Wentworth Gallery is pleased to announce that rock icon Grace Slick will be touring its chain of galleries across the country with her latest art collection. Slick will make two special appearances at the New Jersey Wentworth Galleries located at the Riverside Square Mall on October 19 and the Mall at Short Hills on October 20 and 21, 2007.

With microphone in hand, Grace Slick once took to the stage and defined a generation. Her soulful, powerful voice resonated with a specific time like few other performers in rock and roll history.

In fact, with Slick front and center, Jefferson Airplane made history again in 1996 when the group was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum.

Over the next 20 years, Slick maintained her iconic rock and roll status, recording countless classic songs with Jefferson Airplane & Starship.

But in 1989, Slick put down her microphone and picked up a paintbrush and has now made a new name for herself as an accomplished artist. Creating an incredible collection of original paintings and limited editions, Slick presents a range of subjects including portraits of legendary musicians Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix. The exhibit also features "The Wonderland Suite."

Today, Slick lives and works in Malibu, CA.
