Based on the popular book series from Simon & Schuster that has sold over 450 thousand copies worldwide, Edgar & Ellen follows the clever twins in footie pajamas as they wreak havoc on the innocent citizens of Nod's Limbs. Armed with an endless supply of pranks and their hairy, one-eyed companion named Pet, the twins push the envelope of mischievous comedy and experiment with their unique brand of troublemaking on the town darling, Stephanie Knightleigh, and the rest of Nod's Limbs' inhabitants. From their strange mansion on the edge of town, Edgar and Ellen plot elaborate schemes using chaos as their guide and mischief as their inspiration, even though their plans often backfire making them their own victims.

Each episode of the series features a two-minute segment inspired by a fan. Viewers are invited to log on to www.edgarandellen.com where they have the opportunity to submit storylines before the show is produced. Fans can then tune-in to see if Edgar or Ellen will perform the prank he or she suggested. The fourth wall comes tumbling down and Edgar and Ellen break through the television screen barrier to acknowledge the fan by name. All kid-inspired content is denoted by a brain graphic on the screen.

"Edgar & Ellen is a unique multiplatform property that has evolved from short form programming, to specials to a series on Nicktoons Network," said Keith Dawkins, Vice President and General Manager, Nicktoons Network. "The characters already have a huge following from the books and online, and now we're offering a new way for our audience to experience the Edgar & Ellen brand. It's an exciting chance for fans to directly contribute to the show and get their names mentioned on our air - it's a true user-generated experience."

In premiere episode, "It Came from the Sub-Basement," at 8:00 p.m. (ET), the twins discover a giant spider living in their sub-basement. They eventually get rid of it, only to be swarmed by all the bugs that the spider could no longer eliminate. Following in "Beast of Show," the twins enter Pet in a dog show, and they are determined to take the blue ribbon away from Stephanie and her poodle. Then, a viewer challenges Edgar to pull a prank involving shaving cream, fire ants and toothpaste and Edgar lives up to the challenge by targeting Mayor Knightleigh during his morning shave in "Edgar's Satchel: Getting Antsy."

In the second episode, "Condemned," at 8:30 p.m. (ET), Stephanie has a safety inspector threaten to condemn the twins' mansion, unless Edgar and Ellen can prove that it's safe - a tall order in a home full of booby traps, sharp objects and half-baked pranks. In "Bolty, The Friendly Robot," Edgar invents a robot to do menial tasks, but the robot becomes a cleaning freak with an eye toward making the Gadget Graveyard its next project. Edgar and Ellen race to keep it from ruining their favorite spot. Then, in the viewer- inspired segment, "Ellen's Horrorscopes: Them Bones," Ellen reads chicken bones and informs the Mayor he'll be taking a trip soon.

Edgar & Ellen's Halloween special, "Trick or Twins," (Sunday, October 28 at 8:30 p.m. ET) follows Edgar and Ellen on Halloween night when they steer the kids of Nod's Limbs to their house of horrors to prove they are the masters of the macabre. They soon find out that one of Edgar's experiments has done something truly monstrous to Ellen's carnivorous plant, Berenice.

For the month of October, Edgar & Ellen episodes and short-form videos will stream on Video-on-Demand and Edgar & Ellen shorts will be available on TurboNick, Nickelodeon's broadband video service on www.nick.com.

Plus, fans can log on to nicktoonsnetwork.com to play Edgar & Ellen-themed games, check out clips and sneak-peeks of the series and download Edgar & Ellen-themed content.

In support of the premiere, Nicktoons Network is offering "Party In A Box" sweepstakes through October 7. Fans can enter the sweepstakes by logging on nicktoonsnetwork.com.
