After completing its acclaimed first year, Our World with Black Enterprise returns with a full second season beginning this month. Emmy Award-winning journalist Ed Gordon continues to host the broadcast, which features news, entertainment, roundtable discussions, and special interest stories about African Americans from all walks of life -- from Hollywood to the corporate suite and everyone in between.
Highlights this season include interviews with NBA legend-turned all-star entrepreneur Earvin "Magic" Johnson; actor, director, and producer Robert Townsend; and Philadelphia music pioneers Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff. In addition, the Our World roundtable tackles issues such as the state of Jim Crow in the United States and the future of the NAACP.
BE also continues its first successful season of Black Enterprise Business Report (BEBR), hosted by Shon Gables, who most recently was the morning anchor for New York's WCBS TV and covered some of the city's most profound events, including the 9-11 terrorist attacks. BEBR spotlights successful African American business executives, entrepreneurs, and lifestyles. The groundbreaking half-hour stands as the only business news and executive lifestyle program that focuses entirely on African Americans.
Upcoming exclusives include Ed Welburn, chief designer for General Motors; entrepreneur David L. Stewart, CEO of World Wide Technology Inc., the nation's top-grossing black-owned company; and a hard-hitting look at the nation's top three Democratic presidential contenders: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards.
Our World with Black Enterprise and Black Enterprise Business Report are produced in partnership with Chicago-based Central City Productions. Both shows will air nationwide Sundays on cable television network TV ONE beginning at 1:00 p.m. est. Additional information concerning stations and airtimes is available at www.blackenterprise.com.
