NBC 5 Names New Weekend Morning Anchor Scott Friedman
DALLAS and FORT WORTH, Texas, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- NBC 5 promotes Scott Friedman to weekend morning anchor. Weekend mornings are fast-paced newscasts, covering breaking news, weather and sports that matter to North Texans. The weekend newscasts begin at 6 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Friedman joined NBC 5 in May 2006 after 10 years as investigative reporter and weekend anchor at WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee. His career began as a producer and reporter at WNDU-TV in South Bend, Indiana.
Scott has received four Chicago Regional Emmy Award nominations for news writing, hard news reporting and coverage of a breaking story. He's been recognized with awards for investigative reporting from The Milwaukee Press Club (three for best investigative report), The Wisconsin Broadcaster's Association (three for best hard news story) and The Associated Press of Wisconsin.
Friedman graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1994, where he double majored in communication and government.
