'No Llores' - First Single From Estefan's 90 Millas CD #1 on Billboard Latin Singles Chart
NEW YORK, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Sony BMG -- Gloria Estefan tops the Latin Billboard chart with 'No Llores', the first single from her new Spanish language album 90 MILLAS. This marks Gloria's 20th #1 hit.
90 MILLAS pays tribute to her Latin heritage with a collection of newly recorded original Spanish language songs celebrating Cuban music and culture. With original lyrics and music, this is the album Estefan was born to make.
On writing and recording 'No Llores' Estefan says, "'No Llores' is very special to me because of the collaboration with Carlos Santana, Jose Feliciano and Sheila E. I've always said how much Santana and Feliciano mean to me professionally and personally and how the barriers they broke down and the doors that they opened allowed us to walk through when we brought our Latin sound worldwide, and having Sheila on this track as well, makes it even more special. The first single has a very unique blend of acoustic and electric guitar, Latin percussion and a very infectious chorus saying 'No Llores (Don't Cry).'"
In addition to Santana, Feliciano, and Sheila E., guest artists on 90 MILLAS include Arturo Sandoval, Andy Garcia, Chocolate, India, Cachao, Papo Lucca, Johnny Pacheco and Generoso and others.
Next week Gloria kicks off the European promo trip for 90 MILLAS where she will perform in Rotterdam, Holland to over 100,000 fans. The performance will be televised throughout the Netherlands. Following this performance she jets off to Spain where she will perform in Las Ventas bullring in Madrid. Then, she heads back to the US for her North American promotion.
90 MILLAS comes out on September 18, 2007 on Burgundy Records/Sony BMG.
