Parking costs have increased nationwide for the fourth year in a row, mirroring rising demand and a dearth of supply in the U-S, Canada and around the world, according to the seventh annual Parking Rate survey from Colliers International. Leading the U-S was Midtown Manhattan, whose median rate was a remarkable $630 per month to park. However, this masks the Midtown high, which now registers $925 per month.

Chrysler Group to Install Sirius Satellite Radio in More Than 70% of Its Vehicles

SIRIUS Satellite Radio has announced that Chrysler Group expects to install SIRIUS Satellite Radio in more than 70 percent of its vehicle production for the 2008 model year. This marks an increase from approximately 40 percent for the previous model year. For 2008 models, SIRIUS will be included as a standard feature in premium and mid-level price classes on most Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep models. Additionally, SIRIUS will be a 100 percent standard feature on Chrysler Sebring and Aspen, the all-new Dodge Challenger and Nitro, and the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Commander. Chrysler Group includes one year of SIRIUS service with each new vehicle. SIRIUS Satellite Radio is pre-activated, so customers can begin listening to SIRIUS immediately upon taking delivery of their new vehicles.

Legal Help Wanted: Survey Shows Companies Rely on Outside Counsel to Meet Expanding Legal Needs

Corporate lawyers are calling in reinforcements to tackle rising caseloads, a new survey suggests. Nearly half of attorneys polled said their legal departments have increased their use of outside counsel in the last 12 months, while only 12 percent said levels have decreased. Litigation support topped the list of reasons corporations recruit outside counsel, followed by compliance and regulatory matters, and patent issues. The survey was developed by Robert Half Legal.
