The Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau Has The Real Dirt on the Dallas Cowboys

ARLINGTON, Texas, July 24 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- When it comes to getting the latest dirt on the Dallas Cowboys, nobody does it better than the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau. Since winning the bid for the XLV Super Bowl in 2011, the FUN CENTRAL city of Arlington is becoming synonymous with Dallas Cowboys all over the world. In addition to bagging the real dirt from the 50-yard line of the new Cowboys stadium for die-hard Dallas fans on eBay, the ACVB launched its new, revamped and one of a kind 'mini' site at http://www.arlington.org/.

Catch up on the latest news from Dallas Cowboys training camp in San Antonio by visiting the blog of Kristi Scales on the newly featured micro site. Scales is entering her 17th year as a sideline member of the Cowboys Radio Network crew, and dishes the goods weekly on everything from Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader tryouts to one-of-a-kind interviews with players, coaches and past and present MVPs.

"With the new coaching staff, this season will be exciting for Cowboys fans all over the country," Scales said. "I look forward to sharing the sideline perspective of the games with fans. And I hope some of those Super Fans will be able to answer some of our tough trivia questions. Maybe some will be able to stump me!"

With a long history of being a sideline reporter for the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network, Scales became the first female in sports broadcasting to fill the role of 'analyst' in the booth for an NFL broadcast. She has sat alongside play-by-play legends Brad Sham and Pat Summerall for preseason games.

"Here at the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau, we look for creative ways in which to share our excitement with visitors, and to get visitors in the habit of associating Arlington with the Cowboys," said Diane Brandon, Vice President of Communications and Public Relations for the ACVB, "I've known Kristi for several years. Not only does she know everything about the Cowboys, she's very talented in broadcasting her excitement to the public."

In addition to updates and interviews, the micro site will feature Cowboys player profiles and stadium progress pictures and reports, and will provide trivia contests and questions for Kristi every week. Visit http://www.arlington.org/ for the latest news.
