NBC 10 Presents Scholarships and Savings Bonds To Students Attending the Station's Adopted Schools
UPPER DARBY HIGH SCHOOL IN DREXEL HILL, PA. PHILADELPHIA HIGH SCHOOL FOR CREATIVE & PERFORMING ARTS, AND CONRAD MIDDLE SCHOOL IN WILMINGTON, DELAWARE
BALA CYNWYD, Pa., June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- At the close of this school year, NBC 10 presented $1,000 scholarships to 4 high school seniors who plan to further their education in the field of communications. Also, 2 eighth graders received a $100 Savings Bond.
On Tuesday, May 29th, NBC 10 News Reporter Tim Furlong spoke at the Upper Darby High School Senior Award Ceremony and presented two $1,000 scholarships. The students are Hannah Horwitz who plans to attend Hampshire College in Massachusetts, and Andrew Dryden who will be attending Penn State in University Park.
Furlong also presented 2 Conrad Middle School students in Wilmington, Delaware, with a $100 Savings Bond on Monday, June 4th. The students are Chrissy Cordova and Oscar Zavala.
NBC 10 News Anchor Lori Delgado made the scholarship presentations at the High School for Creative & Performing Arts commencement ceremony, which took place on Monday, June 18th, at the Merriam Theatre. The following students received a $1,000 scholarship -- Holly Mora attending Loyola College in Maryland, and Quinn David who will attend Swarthmore.
Each student received a personal congratulatory letter from NBC 10 President and General Manager Dennis Bianchi.
