Michael Eisner Teams Up With the Creators of 'The Burg' to Produce Vuguru's Second Original Web Series
Internet Based Docu-Comedy "The All-For-Nots" To Film on 24-City Cross Country Tour
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., June 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Michael Eisner's independent new media studio Vuguru (http://www.vuguru.com/) announced today they will join forces with Dinosaur Diorama Productions (http://www.dinosaurdiorama.com/), the creators of the hit web series "The Burg," to produce Vuguru's second original series, "The All-For-Nots."
Following the success of its Emmy Award(R)-nominated debut drama series, "Prom Queen," Vuguru continues to pave the way as the leader in high-quality, story driven content produced for new media platforms. Vuguru recently announced that they will create a continuation of the first hit series for the summer with "Prom Queen Summer Heat," scheduled to air this August.
Created by Thom Woodley and Kathleen Grace of Dinosaur Diorama, the original Internet comedy series follows a documentary crew filming a fictional indie rock band called The All-For-Nots, as they travel the U.S. on an under- funded and poorly planned tour.
"We are thrilled to be teaming up with Dinosaur Diorama," said Michael Eisner. "As the media landscape continues to evolve, Vuguru is committed to working with innovative story tellers who excel in the growing medium. Dinosaur Diorama is creating unique and exciting content which has exactly the kind of cross-platform capabilities Vuguru is dedicated to producing."
Currently in pre-production, "The All-For-Nots," will visit 24 cities on the band's U.S. tour for each 7-10 minute episode of the series.
"With The All-For-Nots, we're continuing 'The Burg's' comic take on the young and hip, but expanding it to focus on the music industry- and the hubristic futility of trying to conquer the nation with indie rock. Anyone who's even thought about joining a band or going on a road trip will be into this," said writer/creator Woodley. "We're excited to be working with such a forward-thinking and adventurous partner as Vuguru, especially on the heels of their success with 'Prom Queen,'" said director/creator Grace.
"The All-For-Nots" also has the potential to cross a wide variety of platforms. In addition to weekly episodes, additional content will be released in many other ways, including documentary 'raw footage' and outtakes, music videos from the band, and exclusive interviews. "The All-For-Nots" will also incorporate live music events from around the country.
Dinosaur Diorama Productions is represented by Creative Artists Agency.
