Local Search Engine for Things to Do Integrates Tribune Media Services Movie Content

SAN MATEO, Calif., May 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Zvents, the local search engine for things to do today announced they have integrated Tribune Media Services (TMS) movie data with their event search platform. Zvents now lists over 900,000 weekly movie showtimes at more than 7,000 movie theaters throughout the United States and Canada. Movie search enables visitors to find movie theaters and showtimes in their local area while searching for movies by genre, actor, rating, or city, with theaters sorted by distance from their home address. In urban areas such as San Francisco and New York, visitors can broaden their search to nearby movie theaters in other neighborhoods.

Visitors can find local showings of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End or new releases, such as Day Watch and Knocked Up. Zvents movie search even includes classic movies and theaters from Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood to San Francisco's Castro Theatre.

Zvents also powers event calendars for media partners, which includes local event and restaurant listings. Readers of the San Francisco Bay Area's San Jose Mercury News and Contra Costa Times have movies available now.

The new movie search feature includes films from several genres, including action, comedy, documentary, drama, family, horror, science fiction, western, animated, holiday, anime, live action/animated, musicals, adults only and erotica.
