The Police to Perform at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., May 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Police World Tour will come to Atlantic City, the city that is always turned on, this November, presented by Best Buy, in association with Trump Entertainment Resorts. The show will take place on Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall.
From their early beginnings, The Police were hailed as a maverick live band -- a group that galvanized an already impressive studio sound into something otherworldly when performing. Combining controlled energy and evocative melodies, Sting, Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers played with the improvisational instincts of a jazz trio and the raw energy of a punk-rock band -- a blend that made them one of the definitive rock groups of the'70s and '80s.
"We are thrilled to be able to present one of the world's most famous bands for a show that is sure to electrify Atlantic City," said Mark Juliano, Chief Operating Officer of Trump Entertainment Resorts, Inc., the co-presenter of the Atlantic City event. "The Police and Trump Entertainment Resorts are perfect partners to create a truly unforgettable evening for our guests."
Special guest Fiction Plane will join The Police for the North American portion of the tour, including the Boardwalk Hall event.
