'Live with Regis and Kelly' Heads to New Orleans May 22-25, 2007

Luke Wilson, John Stamos, Emeril Lagasse, Top Local Bands and Area Chefs Headline an All-Star Line-Up in The Big Easy

NEW YORK, May 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa are capping off a busy month of May with an exciting trip to New Orleans, and are bringing a stellar guest line-up with them to the Big Easy May 22-25, 2007.

"Live with Regis and Kelly" will originate from Fulton Street, next to Harrah's New Orleans Casino and Hotel. During their New Orleans shows, Philbin and Ripa will showcase this unique American city and update viewers on the progress that has taken place since Hurricane Katrina. They'll be all over the area, highlighting the city's fabulous food, its stunning and unique architecture, and vibrant cultural scene.

Actors LUKE WILSON and JOHN STAMOS, NASCAR's KYLE BUSCH and the winner of "AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL" all will stop by "Live's" Fulton Street set. Superstar chef EMERIL LAGASSE will take "Live's" viewers on a tour of his favorite New Orleans' spots, as well as whip up something tasty live on the show.

Musical guests include country superstar MARTINA McBRIDE and New Orleans' own COWBOY MOUTH. And during each show, top area musical talent will act as "Live's" house band, adding to the unique New Orleans' ambiance as only live music can. Joining Regis and Kelly will be PETE FOUNTAIN on Tuesday; the renowned PRESERVATION HALL JAZZ BAND on Wednesday; local brass band THE DIRTY DOZEN on Thursday; and ROCKIN' DOPSIE, JR. AND THE ZYDECO TWISTERS will finish out the week on Friday.

New Orleans is known the world over for its amazing restaurants and talented chefs. Four local greats will stop by "Live" to share their culinary expertise. In addition to Emeril's appearance, PAUL PRUDHOMME, TENNEY FLYNN and LEAH CHASE will demonstrate a variety of delicious dishes on the "Live" set.

In addition to shooting four shows in the area, "Live" and distributor Disney-ABC Domestic Television want to do something lasting to benefit the community, and are spearheading construction of a playground for Drew Elementary, a 600-student campus located in the Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans. The brand-new "Live with Regis and Kelly Playground" will be revealed live on Wednesday's show.
