Lt. Governor, County Executive and Mayor welcome the independent and foreign language film theatre at ribbon-cutting

MADISON, Wis., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Joseph Freed and Associates LLC, the national mixed use real estate developer, today welcomed Sundance Cinemas to Hilldale Mall, its 37-acre mixed-use redevelopment in Madison, Wisconsin.

Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton, County Executive Kathleen Falk, Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, Sundance Cinemas President and CEO Paul Richardson and Dominic Lanni, Vice President of Development for Joseph Freed and Associates, LLC participated in the ribbon cutting ceremony marking the opening of the first Sundance Cinemas movie theatre, which will feature the best in independent and foreign language films.

Hilldale Mall is a multi-phased mixed-use redevelopment project located three miles from downtown Madison. The first of the project's planned four phases is nearing completion.

In addition to the Sundance Cinemas, the project includes the 420,000 square foot renovated Hilldale Mall, 40 townhouses and condominium units at Hilldale Row, Street Retail with 75,000 square feet of retail space and a 667- space parking garage.

The second phase of the Hilldale development will be anchored by a Whole Foods store. It will include approximately 144 condominium, townhouse and loft spaces, a 44,500 square foot health club, restaurants, parking and green space.

The third and fourth phases of the development include a hotel, amphitheater park, and a renovated rear mall entrance and food court.

Sundance Cinemas 608 at the Hilldale Mall will offer the finest independent and foreign language films.

The complex features six stadium seated auditoriums with reserved seating, digital stereo surround sound, restaurants and a rooftop bar, a coffee shop featuring San Francisco-based Peet's Coffees and Teas, and a shop selling Sundance logo items and work from local artists.
