Gest Wins TV Time Slot for Second Week
LONDON, May 1 /PRNewswire/ -- ITV1's fly-on-the-wall documentary series 'This Is David Gest,' has won its time slot for the second week running. UK TV audiences have been captivated by the Sunday night show, which provides a unique insight into the world of David Gest.
David's popularity has reached an all time high in the UK, he is the first American to star in three prime time TV shows -- 'This Is David Gest,' 'Grease Is The Word' and 'Grease Lightnin'' -- all broadcast on ITV.
On this Sunday's episode of 'This Is David Gest,' David visits Paris to see his friend Sir Cliff Richard and audiences are treated to a unique duet of 'Summer Holiday' as the pair decide on an impromptu performance whilst walking down the Champs Elysees.
In future episodes watch David perform with UK pop stars Westlife live on stage in Ireland before 12,000 screaming fans and see him on his first public outing with his new girlfriend, actress Malandra Burrows, whom he met on the show that brought him to prominence, I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here.
David said: "It's great to have such success in the UK; the British public have been amazing. I wasn't happy with the first episode of This Is David Gest; it was like my funeral had come early! But the rest of the shows are exactly what the public want to see -- me being my nutty, crazy, funny self."
Next month David will come face-to-face with fiery chef Gordon Ramsay when he appears as his special guest on Channel 4's The F Word. David said: "Ramsay's got quite a reputation for being outspoken, but then again so have I and I'm ready for him! Oddly enough, my maid Vaginica Ceaman is coming out with her own book, Vaginica Ceaman's Cookbook -- she's jealous that I'm meeting Ramsay as she is a big fan and wants to give him one of her famous Ceaman Cakes, which according to Malandra is a little bit too salty for my taste, but maybe not for Gordon's."
