Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band to Perform for Troops on USO/AFE Tour to Germany and Belgium
ARLINGTON, Va., April 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gary Sinise, star of the hit CBS series "CSI: New York," and the Lt. Dan Band will perform for service members on a USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour to Germany and Belgium May 6-16. This marks the 24th USO tour for the actor, director and producer, who recently performed for service members and their families at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Calif.

Last year, Sinise completed a series of seven stateside USO tours with the band. He also made a solo USO tour to Afghanistan and the United Arab Emirates. A long-time supporter of military personnel and veterans, Sinise was among the group of celebrities on the USO's first tour to Baghdad in June 2003. In addition, Sinise has visited Iraq on two different occasions for the USO. His other overseas tours include visits to troops in Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, Korea, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Sinise co-founded Operation Iraqi Children, which provides educational materials to students in Iraq through donations from the American people.
This tour continues the USO/AFE tradition of bringing entertainment to troops stationed far from home. A number of entertainers have made trips for the USO this year, including Alex Trebek, Five For Fighting, Wilmer Valderrama, Jo Dee Messina, Larry The Cable Guy, Dax Shepard and Tom Arnold. NFL players Ben Watson, Shelton Quarles, Will Shields and Alge Crumpler also recently returned from a USO tour to Iraq and Afghanistan
